HULK VS. WOLVERINE. 2016.
Gouache and on illustration board, 16 × 22″.

Although this was just announced yesterday, I'm afraid the prints have sold out from Sideshow Collectibles. You can still get on the waiting list here. There should be a variant available at some point as well. Will try to get the word out when it is.

Not pictured below is the digital sculpture they gave me as reference, fully rendered in gray tones. I also found pics of bodybuilders online to help with details like veins and tendons.

  3. Your work I equal with that of Alex Ross. Both of you are on the top of your game with your attention to detail, environment, lighting, value and most of all, emotion and feeling. I also love the fact that your styles are completely similar. You each focus and accel at different elements, showing that there is more than one way to paint effectively. I'm glad I stumbled onto your work when I did. Awesome stuff!

    1. Thank you so much, Micah! He's one of the main reasons I got into the industry (and I've told him as much).

  4. I am waiting for this print from Sideshow but must admit after seeing this blog I am totally blown away by the photoshop drawing with Kyle T. Webster's "Animator Pencil" even more.

Without knowing if this is part of the process or a different medium all together, I have to ask, is this version available for purchase? I would love to add it next to the print (and statue) when they arrive!

    1. Thanks, Michael! Wish I had better news for you, but there are no plans for that to be released as a print. Sorry! Maybe I'll ask them for the next one (which I'm working on right now).

    2. Thanks for the reply. If you don't mind I might just print it from here and put it on my wall anyway as I like it so much!

Also I sent you a Tweet if you get around to that media soon. Wondering if you ever do anything for charity as I am always looking for unique items to put in our auction for the Travis Roy Foundation to raise money for people living with a spinal cord injury or disease.

Looking forward to seeing more of your stuff!

    3. Fine by me. I somehow let a higher-res pic onto the blog (but I'll let it slide this time).

As for the tweet, not sure which one you're referring to. Will check out the charity, but no promises just yet. Thanks!
